At Mystery Arts we carry two pendulum lines - metal dowsing pendulums and crystal dowsing pendulums.  Our metal dowsing pendulums are of a very high quality and designed with optimal precision. They come in different shapes, sizes and weights to suit all tastes and we also carry a small range of hollow dowsing pendulums which are usually preferred for diagnosis such as allergy testing and also in absent healing, as a sample can be enclosed inside the pendulum. 

The basic function of the dowsing pendulum is to tap into the individual's unconscious mind or that of the collective unconscious and in this way bring to the fore information that is already 'known' either on some level by yourself or the collective unconscious.  There are two main theories as to how dowsing pendulums work - one contends that a minute unconscious twitch sends the dowsing pendulum in motion i.e. energy follows thought within the limiting constraint of belief.  The majority of more experienced dowsers prefer the view that when we focus our intent using a pendulum, the subtle energy fields increase enough to move the dowsing pendulum and indicate an answer/response.
